Jubel

Franz Josef Sailer Privatbrauerei

Germany

The thing I'll remember most about this beer is the neat bottle, one I've never seen before. It's jug-like, with a flip-top cap (which must be a Sailer thing, since Altenmünster also has one) and holds an even pint. The beer itself, while I first thought it was an Alt, is actually a Märzen (Oktoberfest). It has a deep amber color, and an extremely sweet, malty flavor. Almost too sweet, actually. Overall not a bad beer, and was actually a nice choice for an evening of relaxing in front of the TV watching North to Alaska, a John Wayne flick filled with LOTS of beer (a Weiss would've been a better choice though).
