Rogue Morimoto Imperial Pilsner

Rogue Ales

I've never really liked the name "Imperial Pilsner" very much (or the shortened version of "Impy Pilsner" but only because that sounds gay), because "Imperial" implies heavier on the alcohol, which for a Pilsner means it's, well, a Bock. However, I'll give it to them in this case because it maintained that beautiful golden Pilsner color. It also had a nice frothy head, easy to create because of the .75L bottle with a narrow opening. The bottle itself was cool, a capped white ceramic bottle with flip-cap that you could use to re-seal it. Since I drank it all in one sitting, not only did I not need the flip-cap, I was also quite ready for bed, since it was also an 8.8% ABV brew. I would've preferred it to be more balanced with the malts, but you know what? I absolutely loved it. Expensive, but worth it.
