Golden Denar

Browar Namyslow

Poland

In the grand tradition of TOBP, I will attempt a half-assed translation of the name of this beer...."Golden Money." I only suggest that because there's a picture of what looks like a coin on the label, and I seem to recall Poland's currency being the Denar. Or maybe I'm thinking of another country. Anyway, this could be one of the first Polish beers that didn't taste like it was either poured through a drain pipe, had coins soaking in it, or stored in a metal bucket. In fact, it was a halfway decent Pilsner-style lager, with a hop aroma and light malty flavor. Not bad at all. Not great, but there wasn't anything offensive about it that will make me cringe at the thought of drinking it.
