Either they've really cleaned this recipe up, or the last time I had this before they changed the name, I got a bad batch. This used to be Boulder Amber Ale, and tasted pretty standard. I'm not really much of a connoisseur of ambers anyway; they strike me as a transition beer from the standards to better fare. But the label was intriguing, so I gave it a spin. Hey--not bad. Spicy, and not too sweet like so many other ambers. A handsome smoky color in the glass, too. What the hell--I'll recommend it.
