This may have been a lagered beer (which pilsner fits into), but I believe they got the recipe wrong. Pilsners should be smooth, light tasting, malty, and crisp. This was pretty bitter, indicating heavy on the hops (for a pils anyway). Not exactly what I was expecting. Not a bad beer, but loses points for misadvertising. Also, the label suggests that the consumer "drink when fresh." Huh? Is there a better time to drink it? Or are they assuming that we might think it is wine or scotch?
