Stoudt's Pils

Stoudt's Brewing Co

Am I the only one who thinks it's odd that we've been doing TOBP for 10 years, and this is the first Stoudt's beer we reviewed? Yes? Well, carry on then. The Pils had many characteristics of German pilsner-style lagers, but it was lacking something. If Miller Lite is a 1 on the litmus test, and Czechvar or Hofbrau are 10, I'd say Stoudt's is a 4. In other words, it's closer to the mega-brews then the classic imported styles. A decent beer, still better then the mega-swill, but barely enough to make it worthwhile.
