This is from Breckenridge's "small batch" series, and is only available in the bombers, so far as I know. And this offering helps me forgive them for otherwise putting out average product. This was an elegant smoky amber in the glass. Aroma was over-the-top hops, but the beer was surprisingly well-balanced, with enough malty sweetness to duke it out with the piney hops. This one's a winner. Buy it if you see it.

I wasn't as enthralled with it as much as Sam was. Yes, it was hoppy, incredibly so, but it's nothing you haven't seen on the market a bajillion times already. My sample didn't have much balance, all I could sense from beginning to end was the piney hoppiness. Certainly not bad, or even that mediocre, but I think what let me down was the "Small Batch" designation, implying that this was a "Holy Shit you have to see what our brewer just came up with" type of beer.
