Now THIS is more like it. I recently found this along with Lazy Magnolia's Southern Pecan Brown Ale. The brown was okay, but the amber is really tasty. I'm guessing it's the rye malt that sets it apart from most ambers. This poured a handsome amber color (go figure), with a pillowy head. And here's where Kris will probably fire me, because I'm going to use a descriptor I promised I'd never use: it had a creamy mouthfeel. There. I said it. I'm not proud, but that's the best description I can come up with for that first sip. Nice and malty and light, but with enough hops presence to make me want to pour another glass. I definitely recommend this beer. Take that, Michael Jackson.
