Steve could probably tell you what a "weizen" is, what it should taste like, and how I'm completely off-base in my review. To me, "weizen" comes before "heimer" and has nothing to do with beer. As a summer ale, this wasn't too great. I would expect a summer ale to be more, I don't know, refreshing, and not as strong, whereas this would seem to be better in autumn, as the weather is getting a little cooler. But as a beer (ignoring the season), it was pretty damn good. Almost forgot, ignore the label as well. Picture a woman in a pool. Now picture your mother in a pool when you were about 5 years old. Like when you look back at old family photos from that time and think, "Whew, why would you ever think to wear THAT? Blech." That's what's on the label.
