I've had some decent beers from this family-operated division of Miller Brewing. This, however, is not one of them. I was kind of disappointed, a special release of an old recipe, and it just came across as weak. Shiner Bock actually seemed more bock-like than 1888 Bock. In a bock you want something hearty, with a little more alcohol, that's a bit heavier. This was a dark-colored lager with a little bit of caramel in the background.
