This is it. Few beers have had as anticipated a birthday as Shiner, which has been producing some quality beers the last few years getting us ready. What we have to celebrate their centennial is a doppelbock-style lager. Much like their flagship Shiner Bock, this falls short of being a doppelbock that thrills you, but like Shiner Bock, it is by itself a decent dark lager. It was sweet and malty, with a nice touch of alcohol. This won't blow you away, but I think you'll find it a decent beer.
