This is basically rocket fuel. Thankfully I shared it with a friend because it came in a 750ml bottle and it's 14% ABV. It has a copper color, has a very sweet alcoholic aroma, and a woody flavor. Like most beers this strong it's not very carbonated, pouring almost like a brandy. It was extremely warming, which was perfect for my sampling. After Thanksgiving dinner, we went looking at Christmas lights with friends, and came back for dessert (which included alcohol) and just about got hammered. This is a nice winter warmer. But, be prepared to pay for it. My 750ml bottle cost $19. But, it was a 2007 bottling, that I sampled in 2012. 2007 was the first year they had bottled this since 1986, so I bought at the right time, and aged it for a good 5 years.
