This is a very interesting Red Ale. By interesting, the taste takes you by force. A Grand Cru is a Belgian fest beer of sorts, brewed to celebrate weddings, holidays, and the like. You definitely need to be careful how you drink it. I tried it with pork chops. Not good. It has a very sour, raspberry taste, not a chugging beer. Sip slowly, or you will hate it. On top of that, it had a pretty good hop presence, but it was still dominated by the fruit. I really can't give an idea what kind of food to try this with, so maybe none at all. Pour into a brandy glass, relax, and enjoy.
