Rauchbier is German for "Smoked Beer," which is pretty damn self explanatory. Although they are not the target audience, this beer would go well in places like NW Arkansas, N Georgia, and anywhere where barbecue and smokehouse restaraunts are a hit. This had a rich, smoky flavor. I thought it was like a piece of smoked pork, but my wife equated it to a good smoked cheese (figures, she's from Wisconsin). Either way, this ain't bad. Although, it is a bit expensive. This is definitely a sipping beer, because I would hate to see the look on your face if you chugged this.
