My expectations were high on this beer, particularly when I poured it into the glass and it was a nice dark colour. It had a sweet plum smell, in fact it kind of smelled like port. When I drank it there was definitely a fruity, raisin taste to it. And then a bitterness that leads to a warm finish. It was good. But in my opinion too sweet at the start for how it finishes. And about 2/3 of the way through the beer I was debating whether or not I wanted to finish it. I'm told it's better on-tap, often cask conditioned.
