Rocky tells me you actually have to call this beer a "Kolsch style" beer; Kolsch is reserved for the beer originally brewed in Koln (Cologne), Germany. This isn't my favorite style, but of those I've tried, Schlafly's is my favorite. One of the hallmarks of this style is low hops. Supposedly makes for a refreshing, light summer brew. To me the whole style seems a bit muddled (I like hops, and feel that beer MEANS hops). Be that as it may, this is pretty flavorable, mildly sweet and citrusy. The low hops is disappointing, and there's not a hell of a lot of carbonation, either. Still, you don't feel full after drinking this. All in all, a pretty pleasant little beer, good as a change of pace in the summertime. I'd still recommend it to anyone.
