Redhook Sunrye Ale

Redhook Brewing Co

USA

This is their summer seasonal, and it is pretty good for a summer beer. Just plain and simple; definitely nothing spectacular about it, but nothing to really gripe about either. It is what its supposed to be as a summer seasonal: light, crisp, and refreshing.

This is a pretty decent brew; not as delicious as Real Ale Pale Rye Ale, but it's pretty decent. The color makes you a little nervous; it's not much darker than Budweiser. But it's a full beer, with a clean, slightly sweet flavor, and just the right amount of hops for bitterness. I've had better, and I think Redhook in general has suffered since Miller got its meathooks into them, but by and large this is a decent beer if you're looking for something light and tasty.
