I'm only a moderate fan of porters, but this is one of the best I've ever had. It had a distinct nutty flavor, and was very warming on a cool autumn night. Behind the nuttiness was a balanced hop flavor, not too strong so that it didn't overpower the other aspects. Unfortunately, this is a New Hampshire regional micro, so I was only able to try it because my brother Erik brought a couple bottles down when he visited. 5.7% ABV, in case anyone's interested.
