There is a huge amount of yeast on the bottom, so if you don't like floaties in your beer you'd better pour very carefully or skip it altogether, but I wouldn't recommend that. It's too good, and yeast will not hurt you. It's a tripel, 10.5% ABV, and has the spicy, fruity, complex tastes that good belgians are famous for. Certainly worthy of purchase if you see it.

You probably recall how AOL Top Speed Technology put Mikey Tuetel into low earth orbit in a grocery store scooter (how can you forget, they ran it at every commercial during the Super Bowl in 2004). Well, I'm convinced that Piraat is the fuel for Top Speed. At 10.5%, this is like drinking two normal beers, so pay heed to the warning on the back about operating heavy machinery (or, for that matter, a grocery store scooter). A fine beer, with a nice malty texture, yeasty aroma, and a rum-like warmth down the throat....just very potent, that's all.
