It had been so long since I saw Stroh's that I didn't even think they still made it. I can remember my Dad drinking this when I was a kid, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was the first beer I ever tasted. Thats gotta be worth at least one bonus point. I wouldn't have found it, since I was checking out a different part of the cooler, but I saw a guy walk past me with three 12 packs of this stuff. I made my purchase, followed him out, and offered him a buck for one. It was worth a buck. Better than the big three macros and similar to PBR.

My BIL, good man that he is, knew I'd have a fully-stocked beer fridge when he came to visit, and he knew I was nostalgic for Stroh's and couldn't get it out here in Texas. So when he and my sister came to visit recently, he brought me a couple twelve packs. It is as I remembered it: it ain't great, but it's pretty darn good for a macro, and as Rocky said, it's better'n BMC. So if you're in a nostalgic mood, or if you come in hot'n'sweaty from a summer day full of yard work, you might find an ice-cold Stroh's an agreeable thirst quencher.
