Capital 1900 is so named because it uses an old recipe that dates back to circa 1900. It's a basic lager, no bells, no whistles, and is hopped so that it tastes like a central European lager, but not as strong on the hops or the green bottle effect. Very easy drinking, good on its own or with lighter food. Went well with my BLT, for example. It's nothing fantastic, so I can't rave about it, but I'd have it again in a second, and I'd gladly pay the money for it, as opposed to saving a lot for something inferior.
