This is a distinctly North American brewing style, a mixture of ales and lagers. What this means in Terrapin is that you get what amounts to a lighter pale ale. This is very easy drinking, and is quite good with dinner as it's not competing and isn't heavy. This is an ale that micro enthusiasts can enjoy, but will also be appreciated by those not used to hoppier ales. Terrapin's website claims to use a generous amount of flaked maize (obviously avoiding the use of the word "corn," which implies adjuncts), but you'd never notice it.
