I probably wasn't the one to try this one. Scottish Ales are not my cup of tea... There's a quality about them that tastes like a band-aid to me, and this was no exception. I guess it's the peat. Thankfully this is brewed in the Yakima Valley, where cascade hops are plentiful. Cascades are always welcomed in my beers, and that made this a bit more tolerable. I'm not going to ding it too hard just because I'm not crazy about the style in general, but I can't rightfully give it anything more than average.
