Very dark (I know...but it's dark even for a stout), and the requisite bitter chocolate and coffee notes are present. But, as the name implies, so is almond. Obviously, that's what they were going for, and they certainly succeeded. I don't see myself pulling the almond extract out of the pantry on my next brewday, basically because the almond would wear on me after just a couple, but for a single of something a little bit different it wasn't bad at all.
